Our journey is inspired by the vision of our founder, Maganlal Kanji Jeraj Manek, who began as a trader in the 1940s. His unwavering belief in limitless possibilities and entrepreneurial spirit continues to guide our aspirations and achievements.
MAC Group, in its current form, took shape in the early 1990s, but our story began much earlier. Tracing its lineage to a retail business founded in the 1890s, the Group grew through the decades to become a key player in Tanzania’s industrial and economic development.
With roots reaching back to a humble retail venture in the 1890s, MAC Group has evolved into a premier Holding Company with strategic investments across Manufacturing, Banking, Insurance, Real Estate, Shipping Agency, Oil & Gas, Fertiliser, and Agriculture. We remain grounded in heritage yet forward-focused in shaping African enterprise.
