Tracing our history to the intrepid shopkeepers (‘dukawallahs’) who were the traders between western India and East Africa at least since the 17th century, our group finds its roots in a trading organisation set up by Mr.Maganlal Kanji Manek in the middle 1900’s which was formalised as a group of companies in the 1980’s by Mr. Yogesh Manek.

Since 1970s, the group has made remarkable progress since then; we are now a leading business group employing over 10000 people in our multi-sector operations across various industries.

With activities ranging from manufacturing steel products to FMCG and Industrial plastics to Agribusiness , Mining , Real estate and offering financial services including Insurance and Banking , the group has achieved a key position within its respective business segments across several countries on in the East African region.

Each of our company is under the overall direction set by its board with independent directors. Operational management is delegated to a professional multi-cultural team.
